“I’ve embarked on a journey and reclaimed all my dreams”

So writes New York based singer/songwriter Mark Nelson Preston in his song a “You Don’t Know Me from a Hole in the Wall”, in which he tells his story of playing music in places they’ve never heard of him. And with good reason. Mark, at the age of 48, is relatively new to the music scene. Only a few years ago Mark decided to once again pursue his love of writing and playing music, a dream which he had given up almost thirty years earlier. His songs about life, love, friendship and experience are winning him over with audiences in New York and Toronto, a city that has become a second home to him. Mark credits this city, where they once did not know him “from a hole in the wall” as playing a major role in his musical rebirth – thanks to the talent he has met and friends he’s met in one of the world’s best indie music scenes.
